Who We Are |
Marcel: As a Clinical Psychologist, my practice involves working with clients of all ages. My clients and their families develop skills and strategies to manage stress and effectively communicate to strengthen connections and healthy boundaries. I utilize therapeutic strategies from research-supported techniques, including: Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Process Therapy Model, E.M.D.R., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy and Relapse Prevention.
Judy: As a Human Development Specialist, I am ever creating and re-creating my career. My current focus is on teaching critical thinking skills, utilizing a social justice educational framework. I am passionate about practices that honor and respect the environment, communities, and individuals. I promote dialogue, personal reflection, and courageous action. Together we are dedicated to helping people improve their lives, personally and professionally, always with an eye to making the world a better place for all. We are committed to lifelong learning, continuing to add knowledge and skills to enhance our abilities to serve others. Playfulness, joy, and humor permeate our practices even as we dare greatly to help others explore difficult issues and challenges. |
Our History |
Marcel received his Psy.D. from Forest Institute, IL in 1991. He has practiced in MS, AK, WI, AZ, and WA working with veterans, substance abuse and prevention programs for disadvantaged communities, child protective services, foster-parent training, youth substance abuse intervention, incarcerated youth and adults, sex-offender assessment and treatment, domestic violence/ anger management programs, suicide prevention and treatment, relapse prevention, treatment compliance, crisis intervention, PTSD and trauma treatment for combat veterans and sex abuse survivors, and critical incident debriefing for companies.
Judy received her Ph.D. in Human Development, with a concentration in Transformative Learning for Social Justice, from Fielding Graduate University, CA in 2011. Since then she has been working on her book about society's complicity in child abuse. Her work history has been very eclectic. She has been an adjunct instructor, teaching various psychology courses; worked as a training specialist, quality assurance auditor, and global business consultant for a major technology corporation; facilitated Process Communication Model and custom-designed workshops for professional, non-profit, and educational groups; and taught K-12 traditional, alternative, and special education classes. |
